Q. What are the recommended measuring deductions for Wardrobe Doors?
A.
- For the height measure from 3 points at left, centre & right. A deduction of 35mm is required for the track & you may also need to deduct a further 19mm if a carpet batten is needed. Record the smallest of the 3 heights
- Then 3 points for the width at the top, middle, bottom & record the largest of the 3 widths.
Q. What is included in a basic wardrobe sliding door kit?
A. All our made to measure wardrobe sliding doors include top & bottom tracks & doors & come with all necessary fittings for easy DIY installation.
Q. Do the doors come in standard sizes?
A. All our wardrobes are custom built to your individual measurements, so there are no standard sizes to any of the ranges. However, the standard maximum width to each individual sliding wardrobe door is 1070 mm & maximum height is 2400mm.
Q. What if my floor, ceiling or walls are uneven?
A. It’s important to ensure your floors are level. Check using a spirit level. If they are uneven, please send the smallest measurement for the height to us in your order. Our wardrobes are built with some tolerance, which will allow for some minor adjustments. It is more important that the width & height measurements are accurate & we encourage you to measure this at least twice & even have another person check it also if you are still unsure.
Q. What colours can I choose from?
A. Frames are available in Chrome, White & Matt Black.
Infills come in Mirror, *Low Iron White Safety Glass & Melamine. You can choose to have all doors the same or mixed.
Q. What is Ultra white Low Iron Safety Glass ?
A. Low Iron ultra White Safety Glass, also known as water-white glass, is a clear transparent soda-lime-based glass that is almost tint free. This means doesn't have a green tinge to the white. It comes with a vinyl back & is a safety glass.
Q. I have a really high ceiling, what is your maximum door height?
A. The maximum height our sliding door wardrobes can be installed in is 2400mm. Should your ceiling height be higher than this, we would recommend a bulkhead be added to utilize the extra space. If you need any advice, please contact us.
Q. Do you supply triple track?
A. triple track is available as an optional extra at checkout. Please be aware that it is only available in Chrome & White. At this point in time we are unable to provide it in Matt Black.
Q. When can I expect delivery?
A. We pride ourselves on being able to deliver your made to measure wardrobe within four weeks of ordering.
Q. Do you measure only?
A. If you are just unsure of the measuring process, a $30 measure only service is also available in the Loch Sport, Golden Beach, Paradise Beach & Seaspray. Just put through your order with your estimated size and choose the measure service & we will measure the door for you.
Q. What are your delivery areas?
A. Free delivery is offered to our our local postcode areas. These Include to Loch Sport, Golden Beach & Paradise Beach.
Q. Are the doors easy to install?
A. Fitting shouldn't be a problem for most DIY’ers. Only basic tools are needed & we are always available to message if you need help. Fitting instructions can be found on our website.
Q. What should I do if I have carpet?
A. If you are fitting on carpet you should choose the carpet batten option at checkout & you will receive a carpet batten in your kit. This is to ensure you have a flat surface to hold your bottom track down with. Simply screw the carpet batten on an angle to your side jambs to secure it. Later you will then screw the bottom track onto the floor batten.
Q. Do you have a showroom that I can visit?
A. No we don’t. Please refer to our photo Gallery.
Q. Do you fit?
A. Hack's Glass & Screens will measure & fit doors within our local service area. If you are feeling uncertain about the measuring & fitting processes, we can do it all for you starting from $75 for a standard 2 door kit. The quoted fees are for openings that are relatively square & require no alterations for the doors to be installed & for kits fitted on a timber floor. Should your opening require any repairs or alterations, or if they have a concrete floor these will be billed as extras. If you opt to have your door fitted, please still complete your order using estimate measurements as per the measuring guide so you can ascertain your door range.
Q. How do your wardrobes compare with other similar products?
A. We offer no comparisons to any other similar products. Our products are as described and we stand by our long-standing use of this product and its proven quality. But you may be surprised by our range, compared to the larger hardware chains
Q. Can the doors be made out of square?
A. No.
