Screw your bottom track down to your floor or to the floor batten with phillips screws. Remember to secure at the center of a high point on the track, so the screw won't interfere with the roller passage.
CONCRETE FLOORS:
If you have a concrete floor, use a masonry drill to fix easy drive anchors or similar concrete fixing into the concrete. Then screw the bottom track using those anchor points.
Remember to secure at the center of a high point on the track, so the screw won't interfere with the roller passage.
If you have carpet laid on concrete, you should use this process in conjunction with the floor batten fixing instructions.
If you are fitting on carpet you will have chosen this option at checkout & you will have a floor batten in your kit or will have purchased one yourself.
This is to ensure you have a flat surface to hold your bottom track down with.
Simply screw the floor batten on an angle to your side jambs to secure it. Later you will then screw the bottom track onto the floor batton.
Note: This is a sample picture only, the batten supplied will be 80mm x 19mm so as not to encroach on any existing wardrobe inserts. Our tracks are 76mm wide.
Screw your top track to the bulkhead with phillips screws.
Now simply slide one of the wardrobe doors to the back of the top tracks & lift into place on the back wheel slot on the bottom track.
Slide the door from side to side to check if the rollers need adjusting. If they do, adjust the door by turning the adjustment screw on the wheels clockwise or anti clockwise to align the door with your side jamb.
If your opening was not square, you will need to pick the side this door will stay at so it is aligned with the wall.
Repeat this step with the next door by sliding the top of the door into the front track this time.
Hack's Glass & Screens will measure & fit doors within our local service area. If you are feeling uncertain about the measuring & fitting processes we can do it all for you starting from $75 for a standard 2 door kit. Pricing will be specified for your ordered size if you choose fitting at checkout. The quoted fees for are for openings that require no alterations for the tracks to be laid. Should your opening require any repairs or alterations these would be billed as extras. If you opt to have your door fitted, please still complete your order using estimated measurements as per the measuring guide.
If you have measured & ordered the kit & now feel you need it fitted for you, you would need to message us to discuss your options.
