These doors cannot be disassembled for resizing. If you mis measure, we cannot cut the door down - a new door will need to be purchased. Please read all information before proceeding with your order.
Before you measure, using a level, make sure the cill & head are level & the jamb is plumb. If this is not the case, please call us to discuss.
YOU MUST MAKE YOUR OWN DEDUCTIONS - Read this How to Measure for a new Screen Door guide carefully.
The sizes you provide will be the exact size your door will be made - if you are unsure please see our Sliding Door FAQ's or message your question.

Or if you are just unsure of the measuring process, a $30 measure only service is also available in the Loch Sport, Golden Beach & Paradise Beach. Just put through your order with your estimated size & choose the measure service & we will measure the door for you.
Our doors have industry standard top & bottom rollers. You must have suitable tracking to accommodate these rollers. Above are the different tracking systems we support.
Measure lengths at three to four points along the track; take this measurement from the top of the bottom track, to the bottom of the top track (see above), deduct 12mm from the shortest height & record this measurement.
If a variation of more than 4mm exists, this may result in the door not sliding properly. Additional tracking may have to be installed to make tracks parallel.
Frame Interlocks are supplied with all Sliding Security Screen Doors; as 7mm Diamond doors are not security doors, they are supplied with a side bug seal.
The purpose of interlocks is to lock the back of the sliding door into the fixed panel simultaneously as the door is closed into the locking position. This ensures that the door is locked on both sides.
See our FAQ's for Sliding Interlocks if you need more information.
A frame interlock is fixed to the back of the sliding door at the point of installation, so as to have it interlock with the receiving interlock - which is located on the fixed glass panel.
Substitute the frame interlock for a bug seal (1.5) this will eliminate insects coming the through the gap between the door & fixed panel. Indicate this change when placing your order, frame interlock is supplied with all Security Sliding Doors.
If your doors do not have a receiving interlocks on the fixed glass panel & it is necessary for you to install them, there are three different size receiving interlocks:
- 7mm / 3mm / Flat interlock
Identify which receiving interlock is most suitable to your door by using the following methods:
- If the distance from the centre of the top & bottom track to the face edge of the fixed glass panel is greater than 20mm then a 7mm offset interlock is required.
- If the distance from the centre of the top & bottom track to the face edge of the fixed glass panel is less than 20mm & greater than 16mm, then a 3mm offset interlock is required.
- If the distance from the centre of the top & bottom track to the face edge of the fixed glass panel is less than 16mm, then a flat interlock is required.
Measure from the point where the lock striker will be mounted into the receiving channel to the outside edge of receiving interlock on the fixed glass panel.
There are three different sized receiving interlocks:
- 3mm & 7mm offset interlock & flat interlock
When measuring for widths with 3mm & 7mm offset interlock allow no deductions.
When measuring for a flat interlock, add 10mm to your initial door width measurement. The reason for this, is due to the nature of flat interlock there is not enough room for the frame interlock to go between itself & the fixed glass panel, therefore adding 10mm will allow the frame interlock to locate behind the fixed glass panel to allow room.
See our FAQ's for Sliding Interlocks if you need more information.
If there is no receiving interlock & you elect to have a bug seal, measure to the back, glass side of the fixed panel.
See our FAQ's for Sliding Interlocks of you need more information.
THE LOCK SIDE IS DETERMINED FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN
Lock Height: Take your lock measurement from the top of the bottom track, to the centre of where you want your lock handle. This will also be the centre of middle lock striker.
This measurement needs to be a minimum of 120mm above the top of your existing solid door lock or 60mm below the bottom of your existing door lock handle.
At checkout you will be asked to choose the door size range that suits your measurements. When your order is received, we will email you a request for your door height, width, lock side & height. Your order will be processed once these measurements are received.
Please use the following format to record your door measurements in readiness for that email so that your order won't be delayed:
Using existing door measurements:
Width for top & bottom
Height at both left & right
Lock Height
Lock Side
OR for a new door:
Width for top & bottom. If you have a 3mm or 7mm interlock make no deduction. If you have a flat interlock, deduct 10mm as per these measuring instructions above.
Height of shortest side less 12mm
Lock Height
Lock Side
Please enter your measurements in this format to ensure door is made to the correct measurements
